The studios at Carrer Casp 172 in Barcelona were opened in the mid 70s and run by the maestro Albert Moraleda under his own name. Estudios Moraleda quickly became one of the places to record in the city and the studio of choice of many of the outstanding musicians of the time.
In the mid 80s the studio changed hands and reopened under the name of Estudio 84, with the addition of a second studio on the bottom floor. Throughout the 90s — a period of intense activity — Estudio 84 was in great demand as one of the busiest recording studios in the city.

In 2005, the sound engineer and musician Lluís Molas, founder of PERCUMUSIC, took over the studio and carried out an in-depth refurbishment and modernization of the facilities, with state-of-the-art soundproofing and acoustics in both the live room and the control room. With the incorporation of musician and producer Aurelio Morata, and a major upgrading of the studio’s technical equipment, the studio today provides services of outstanding quality for the production and recording of music in the city of Barcelona.

Today two fully equipped studios are available, enabling several players to be recorded together, with use of the piano included in the fee (in STUDIO A) and very keen rates (in STUDIO B).
